On the eve of Mother's Day
BÁRBARA SOALHEIRO
Last night we built a tent
a childhood dream no adult refuses.
A tent is a universe in itself
It’s our fantasy of the world - the whole world and
its things and its souls and the mysteries that forge them all -
being an object.
Something one can learn in its totality.
Our fantasy of being whole
Of being one.
Our fantasy of being inside
In the universe we knew before we had to come out.
A tent is a womb
and maybe that’s why we felt like building one
last night”
